Vayots Dzor, Armenia
Where wine began. Where our story continues.
In a cave above the Areni valley, archaeologists found the oldest known winery on earth: a grape press, fermentation vats and clay jars, more than six thousand years old. Our family's vineyard sits in that same valley. Every bottle we pour in a container in Orlando carries it with us.
It started with Grandma Rosa, pouring wine and cognac for guests in the vineyards of Armenia.
“Here's to Grandma Rosa, here's to sixty years of experience, here's to family.”Haik Khachatryan, founder

Where it began
Haik and the family.
Haik Khachatryan's family vineyard sits in the Areni region of Armenia, home to one of the oldest winemaking traditions on earth. He opened his first wine bar in 2010 and has been running wine bars ever since. In 2016 he put the concept inside a shipping container. That container became Open Container.
