The concept
Open Container is a premium wine bar in three formats. Each one pours our own private-label wines, frozen wine Suavé and draft beer, with no kitchen to run.

Built inside a host building, under 1,500 sq ft.

A 20 ft × 9 ft or 16 ft × 9 ft unit on a pad, self-contained or hard-plumbed.

A steel-frame bar with bartenders in the middle, for resorts and tourist destinations.
Why the model works
Private-label wines, no kitchen and a compact footprint keep the operation simple to run.
One or two team members run a shift.
No kitchen, no hood and no full restaurant build-out.
Our Armenian heritage wines are imported by Pyramid Global Imports & Distribution, a separate import and distribution company we partner with. Fewer hands sit between the vineyard and your glass.
Your container is built in our shop in about 10 weeks, while your site is permitted.
A bar that stands out in any center it sits in.

What we pour
Including California cabernet, moscato and sparkling. Armenian heritage grapes include Areni, Voskehat and Kangoun.
Four flavors, plus wine ice cream.
Breakfast cheese plates, bakery and mimosas.

Why wine
Americans spent a record $115 billion on wine in 2025, and the U.S. is the largest wine market on earth. Guests are trading up: fewer bottles, better wine. That's the guest Open Container is built for.
Flavored wines, wine cocktails and sparkling are among the styles still growing. Our frozen wine Suavé and sparkling sit right there. Sources: BW166 via Forbes, April 2026; BMO 2026 Wine Market Report via Forbes, May 2026.

Founder story
Haik Khachatryan's family vineyard sits in the Areni region of Armenia, home to one of the oldest winemaking traditions on earth. He opened his first wine bar in 2010 and has been running wine bars ever since. In 2016 he put the concept inside a shipping container. That container became Open Container.
